"Getting to know us" -
at Dear's Rest Bed & Breakfast

Linda and Allan Schilter moved to the Ozarks in 1990.  Allan recently retired (June, 2006) he was an accountant for a home health care company. Linda who also shared his love of figures retired from a similar position, but got bored and decided to open  the Bed & Breakfast in 1992.  She has now hired Allan full time at Dear's Rest for a pitiful salary! ($0.00)

Allan & Linda

We dressed up for this picture. Don't expect to see us like this when you come to visit.  We are normally very casual and hope you will be too.

We do have a pet run that we could make available for your special companion.  We also encourage leashes.  There is a very good kennel on the way to Dear's Rest that I highly recommend.  Ask and I'll get the information to you.

Hot Tub & "Wildlife"

It is easy watching wildlife from the Hot Tub.  Raccoons and Flying Squirrels at night, or during the day hummingbirds and many other birds visit "their" year-around feeders.  Spring is also a good time to hike and enjoy the woods, and wildflowers!
