March - April ~ Welcome spring, enjoy wildflowers, dogwoods, bird-watching. (return of the hummingbirds) May - June ~ Sucker Days in Nixa, stream snorkel Bull Creek.... nature at its best! Plan to attend our “Springfield Cardinals” professional baseball team at Hammons Park in Springfield. Pool opens for lots of family or romantic fun thru Sept. July - August ~ More Baseball and .. Rodeo’s and Bull Riding events...summer fun, star-gazing from the hot tub while the whip-per-wills call . Don’t forget the “fire-pit” for great hotdogs and smoors! September - October ~ Fall colors, Ozark Craft Festival, “wonderful bargains”! November - December ~ Old fashioned decorations, Christmas parades and “Christmas Lights of the Ozarks” will make you ooh and aah. All Year - Hootenannies—real old time entertainment in the neighborhood on Saturday and Monday nights.

The hummingbirds should return by April 14th this year. They return to the same place year after year, so now we expect lots to be swarming around our feeders. (I make fresh sugar water everyday.) Bull Creek is at it’s best in June, so plan to explore the creek while here. I will give you directions to a little one-room school house that is definitely off the beaten path! Our wildflower patch (1 acre +) gets really beautiful in the spring and promises to get better each year. A place for appreciating nature with all her finery showing.
